Viewing RAW Pictures

In the case of RAW pictures edited using plug-ins in the Nik Color Efex Pro series or created or edited using optional Picture Controls not installed with NX Studio, NX Studio will display only the previews embedded in the images, not the pictures themselves. Editing and export are not supported.

HEIF Pictures with Thumbnails Marked

NX Studio cannot be used to edit HEIF pictures with thumbnails marked  (0 Photo Thumbnails).

HDR Pictures

  • Pictures shot in HLG on cameras that support tone-mode selection are recorded in HDR. Here “HDR” (high dynamic range) refers to an imaging technology that supports a range of tones (dynamic range) wider than is offered by existing techniques, as distinct from multi-exposure HDR capture, a high-dynamic-range imaging (HDRI) technique that blends multiple still photographs shot at different exposures. Pictures taken with SDR selected for tone mode are recorded using the standard dynamic range (SDR).
