Battery temperature is elevated. The camera will turn off. The camera turns off automatically. Wait until the camera or battery temperature has cooled before resuming use.

  • Confirm that the memory card is correctly inserted.

Memory Cards That Can Be Used

This card cannot be read.
Card is not formatted.

The memory card has not been formatted for use in the camera.

Format the memory card by selecting SnapBridge 360/170 M c Camera tab M Camera settings M Format card.

Formatting deletes all data saved on the memory card. If you need to keep copies of any images, save the copies to a computer or other medium before formatting the memory card.

System error

An error occurred in the camera’s internal circuitry.

Turn the camera off, remove and reinsert the battery, and turn the camera on. If the error persists, contact your retailer or Nikon-authorized service representative.

The camera is on but does not respond.
