Set the camera clock.

Sound Settings

Set the volume of sounds during operation.
- You can select High, Normal (default setting), Low, or Off.
Auto Off

Set the amount of time that elapses after shooting until the camera turns off.
- You can select 2 s, 5 s, 30 s, 1 min (default setting), or 5 min.
Auto Off Setting

If the camera is not operated, it turns off after a specific time regardless of the auto off setting in the following situations:
- When SnapBridge 360/170 M c Camera tab M Camera settings M Network menu M Bluetooth M Send while off is set to No: 30 s (when Auto off is set to 2 s or 5 s)
- From turning on the camera until shooting: 1 min
- When pairing with a smart device is complete or fails: 1 min
- In pairing standby mode for the remote control: 1 min
- In pairing standby mode for a smart device: 4 min
- While connected to a computer (if there is no data transfer): 30 min
- While connected with an HDMI cable (if there is no signal): 30 min

The camera does not turn off automatically in the following situations:
- While the EH-62F AC Adapter is connected
- While connected to a computer (if there is data transfer)
- While live images are output
LED Brightness

Set the brightness of the status lamps.
- You can select High, Normal (default setting), Low, or Off.

The brightness of the status lamps is fixed at Normal in the following situations:
- When there is an error
- When in a pairing status (standby mode, complete, failure)
Charge by Computer

Option | Description |
---|---|
Auto (default setting) | When the camera is connected to a computer that is running (APlaying Back Images on a Computer), the battery inserted into the camera is automatically charged using power supplied by the computer. |
Off | The battery inserted into the camera is not charged when the camera is connected to a computer. |
Notes About Charging with a Computer
- When connected to a computer, the camera turns on and starts charging. The camera buttons cannot be operated while charging with a computer.
- About 3 hours 30 minutes are required to charge a fully exhausted battery.
- The camera turns off automatically if there is no communication with the computer for 30 minutes after the battery has finished charging.
When the Power-on Lamp Quickly Flashes Green
Charging cannot be performed, possibly due to one of the reasons described below.
- The ambient temperature is not suited to charging. Charge the battery indoors with an ambient temperature of 5°C to 35°C (41°F to 95°F) before use.
- The USB cable is not connected correctly, or the battery is faulty. Make sure the USB cable is connected correctly or replace the battery if necessary.
- The computer is in sleep mode and is not supplying power. Wake up the computer.
- The battery cannot be charged because the computer cannot supply power to the camera due to the computer's settings or its specifications.
Image Comment

When Attach comment is set to Yes, you can input a comment in Input comment. You can attach input comments to captured images.
- You can input up to 16 single-byte alphanumeric characters and some symbols.
- You can also check the attached comment using ViewNX-i metadata.
Copyright Information

When Attach copyright info is set to Yes, you can input copyright information in Artist and Copyright. You can attach input copyright information to captured images.
- You can input up to 16 single-byte alphanumeric characters and some symbols.
- You can also check the attached copyright information using ViewNX-i metadata.
Location Data

Set whether or not to add shooting location information to the images that you take.
When Download from device is set to Yes and SnapBridge 360/170 M a Connect tab M Upload location is on, location data from the paired smart device is added to images that you take.

Movie Mode

Select the desired type of movie to record.
Standard movie (default setting):
Record normal movies.
Superlapse movie:
The camera records movies and saves them in fast motion (960/30p or 960/25p). Use to record a movie while moving the camera. The camera compresses the time of changes in the subject and saves the movie.
At 6×, a movie recorded for six minutes is played back as a one-minute movie.
Loop recording:
If the camera exceeds the specified time when recording a movie, the camera continues recording while deleting the recorded movie data from the beginning.

The movie is recorded as up to six separate files. The maximum length of one file varies depending on the specified time.

If the length of the last file reaches the maximum length of one file, the first file is deleted. If the length of the last file does not reach the maximum length of one file, it is saved as-is.

The camera can automatically capture still images at a specified interval to create time-lapse movies.
When NTSC/PAL is set to NTSC, 300 images are captured. When set to PAL, 250 images are captured.

The exposure lock (Yes or No for AE lock only) can be set.
Suited for recording the movement of stars.
Notes About Time-lapse Movie
- If the battery is not sufficiently charged, the camera may not be able to capture all of the images.
- Use a tripod to stabilize the camera when recording time-lapse movies.
- Sound is not recorded.

Select the movie image size/frame rate. Select normal speed movie options to record at normal speed, or HS movie options for movies that playback in slow motion.
The movie options that can be selected vary depending on the NTSC/PAL setting.

- You can select 7744×3872 (default setting) or 3872×1936.
Number of Images That Can Be Saved
- The approximate number of images that can be saved can be checked on the shooting screen of SnapBridge 360/170.
- Note that due to JPEG compression, the number of images that can be saved may vary greatly depending on the image content, even when using memory cards with the same capacity and the same image size settings. In addition, the number of images that can be saved may vary depending on the make of the memory card.
Self-timer

Set the amount of time that elapses until the capturing of still images starts.
- You can select Off, 2 s (default setting), or 10 s.
- The status lamps flash green at the same time during countdown (flash green quickly at the same time in the last 2 seconds of the countdown).
- The camera beeps in the last 2 seconds of the countdown except when Sound settings is set to Off.
Underwater

You can adjust overall image brightness. Set a positive (+) value to brighten the image, or a negative (-) value to darken the image.
- The default setting is 0.0.

Format Card

Format a memory card.
Formatting the memory cards permanently deletes all data. Data that has been deleted cannot be recovered. Make sure to save important images to a computer before formatting.
- Do not turn the camera off or open the battery-chamber/memory card slot cover during formatting.
Reset All
