Before viewing or downloading the pictures on the camera, you must establish a connection between the camera and your smart device. A Bluetooth connection is established when the devices are paired using SnapBridge 360/170.

Updating Camera Firmware

Be sure to keep the camera firmware up to date. The latest version is available from the Nikon Download Center.

Auto Power Off

At default settings, the camera will turn off automatically if no operations are performed for about a minute. Until you are fully acquainted with the camera and the app, we recommend extending the auto-off delay to 5 minutes by selecting 5 min for Camera settings > Auto off in the SnapBridge 360/170 Camera tab.

Before Pairing

Ready the camera and smart device. Before using the camera:

  • Check that the battery has sufficient charge to prevent the camera turning off unexpectedly.
  • Disable airplane mode.
  • Insert a memory card after checking to be sure that it has space available.
  • Check that the HDMI and USB cables are disconnected.

Before using the smart device, confirm that SnapBridge 360/170 is installed. Note that SnapBridge 360/170 is not the same as the SnapBridge app; only SnapBridge 360/170 can be used with the KeyMission 360.
