Launching NX Tether from NX Studio
If NX Studio is installed on your computer, you will be able to launch NX Tether by selecting [Take Pictures Remotely with NX Tether] in the NX Studio [File] menu.
Displaying Notification Dialogs When Launching NX Tether
Launching NX Tether displays a notification dialog if:
- a new version of NX Tether software has been released or
- a new version of Tether Profile has been released.
- Be sure to update to the latest versions of NX Tether and Tether Profile. You can also view the notification dialog from the [Check for Updates] option in the [Help] menu.
Tether Profile
Tether Profile is required to provide NX Tether support for newly-released Nikon cameras and the latest camera firmware updates. Updating Tether Profile allows the user to control new cameras and newly-added functions from NX Tether without updating the software.
- Tether Profile downloads automatically. Re-launching NX Tether will apply Tether Profile updates to the software.
You can view current Tether Profile versions by selecting:
- Windows: [About NX Tether] in the [Help] menu
- macOS: [About NX Tether] in the [NX Tether] menu
- For more information on Tether Profile updates, visit the NX Tether download page in the Nikon Download Center.
