Effects

Add special effects to movies.

1. Click the Effects tool.

   

   Start- and end-point sliders will appear above the progress bar.

   

2. Drag the start-point slider to select the starting point for the effect.

   

3. Drag the end-point slider to select the ending frame.

   

   Clicking Start point or End point in the tool palette moves the position indicator in the progress bar to the effect start point or end point, respectively.

   

   

4. Click Select, choose an effect, and click OK.

   

   

   Fade In/Fade Out

   The fade in begins a few seconds before the selected start point and ends when the selected start point is reached, while the fade out begins at the selected end point and ends a few seconds later.

5. Click OK.

   

   Enter a name and choose a destination to save the edited copy when prompted.
