NX MobileAir Privacy Policy
The following describes the handling of personal information in NX MobileAir (referred to below as “the app”), a service provided by Nikon Corporation (referred to below as “Nikon”) for uploading photos and videos from cameras and the like to a server via smart devices.
Nikon collects no personal information through the app.
User IDs and passwords used for login to the server to which photos and videos are uploaded are stored within the app. So, User IDs and passwords are not collected by Nikon.
The app does, however, use Google ML Kit , which collects personal information(IP addresses) from consenting users as described in the following clause.
The app uses Google ML Kit, a service provided by Google Inc., to collect and analyze usage data so that improvements can be made on an ongoing basis.
The app uses identifiers for mobile devices (including iOS advertising identifiers and Android Advertising IDs) and technologies similar to cookies to run these analytical tools.
Data collected by these analytical tools include the following. These data are collected in a form that does not allow identification of individual users.
•Device information (such as manufacturer, model, OS version and build) and available ML hardware accelerators
•Application information(Package name and app versions)
•Device or other identifiers(Device identifier used for diagnostics and usage analytics. Per-installation identifiers that are not intended to uniquely identify a user or physical device. Used for diagnostics and usage analytics)
•Performance metrics (such as latency)
•API configuration (such as image format and resolution)
•Event type (such as feature initializations, model downloads, detection, resource releases)
•Error code for feature events (such as feature initializations, model downloads, detection, resource releases)
