Editing Location Data

You can edit the location data embedded in pictures while viewing locations on the map. NX Studio can also be used to delete location data or add them to pictures for which no data had previously been recorded.

Editing Location Data

The location data embedded in pictures can be edited manually.

  1. Select the picture in the filmstrip or click its pin () on the map. You can edit the location data for only one picture at a time.

  2. Enable () the edit location data button in the toolbar. The map pin for the selected picture will change from to .

  3. Drag the pin to the desired location. A confirmation dialog will be displayed.

  4. Click [OK] to update the location data; the pin will revert to .

Adding Location Data

Location data can manually be added to pictures for which no data had previously been recorded.

  1. Select the picture in the filmstrip.

  2. Display the desired location on the map and enable () the edit location data button in the toolbar. A “+” symbol will be displayed on the cursor.

  3. Click the desired location; a confirmation dialog will be displayed.

  4. Click [OK] to add the location data to the selected picture.

Adding Location Data: Tips

  • Data for a chosen location can be added simultaneously to multiple selected pictures.
  • Location data can also be copied from one picture and pasted to another. Select a picture with location data in the filmstrip and select [Metadata] > [Copy Location Data] in the [Image] menu. Select the target picture and choose [Paste Location Data] to paste the location data from the clipboard.

Deleting Location Data

  • To delete location data from a picture, select it in the filmstrip or click its pin () on the map and then select [Metadata] > [Delete Location Data] in the [Image] menu.
  • Deleting location data for a selected pin () deletes the location data for all pictures at that location.
