Copy the Picture Controls to a memory card |

To copy the optional picture controls to memory card, a computer is used. |

Insert the already formatted memory card into card reader connected to the computer. |

For the camera equipped with Mass Storage, choosing Mass Storage from USB option allows you to connect the camera to the computer by using the USB cable. |

If Nikon Transfer is installed, it will start automatically; to exit, select Quit Nikon Transfer from the Nikon Transfer menu. |

A volume corresponding to the camera will appear on the desktop. Copy the
“NIKON” folder from the disk image created in Step to the camera volume. |

Important
Copy the “NIKON” folder directly to the top (root) level of the camera volume. The camera will not recognize the optional picture controls if the “NIKON” folder is inside another folder. |

| Once the copying has finished, open the “NIKON” folder and check that “.NOP” files are all copied. |

The number of exposures remaining will decrease when optional picture controls are copied to the memory card. |

Drag the camera volume into the Trash and remove the memory card from the card reader. |

Insert the memory card containing the optional picture controls into slot 1. |

Turn the camera on. |

Press the button and select Load/save for the Manage Picture Control option in the shooting menu.

In the case of D3, insert the memory card into slot 1. This is not displayed when it is inserted into slot 2. |

Select Copy

an optional picture control and press .

The file name and numbers of files differ depending on the downloaded optional picture controls. |

a destination for the optional Picture Control and press . Any
Picture Control currently stored in the selected destination will be overwritten. |

for the optional Picture Control can be viewed using the Save/edit option in the Manage
Picture Control menu. See the camera manual for details.
